Hello my name is Laura and I am the co-founder of Mamalyfe. My partner and I decided to create this brand in 2025 to empower mothers (and fathers too of course) because being a parent in the modern world is complicated. So many options, so many opinions, so much judgment, so much to keep up with. And we want to make this experience more fun, enjoyable, slow and amazing overall.

I am a US Air Force veteran, my partner is a US Marine Corps veteran, and we have two little ones. I initially advocated strongly for breastfeeding mothers because I was facing difficulties at work with having to pump. It seemed like others did not respect that right as a mother that I had. It was disheartening to hear that SO MANY mothers experienced the same issue everywhere.

Our current project is car seat cleaning. And this all started because one of our car seats got dirty and I said “I wish we had a car seat cleaning service in this area. I keep seeing them in other states”. And here we are now, bringing to life the very solution to the problem we had. Because truthfully, who wants to clean a car seat when the mental to-do list is already infinitely long.

The full turnaround is my burning drive for safety. On December 6th 2025, the kids and I were in a horrible accident that totaled my car. Their car seats were safely installed and they were properly buckled. This saved them from getting injured, if not worse.

How is a clean car seat linked to safety? Because crumbs and yuckies of all kinds can get through the holes of the seat cover and get lodged into the components of the car seat that are required to work properly in case of an accident. Something as simple as milk being spilled can create mold and entirely ruin the car seat. It’s not only bad for safety, but it’s bad for your little one and whoever sits in that car.
